Learning about project stages - Part 1

There are distinct stages are in the development of a custom home project.  It is important for you to understand the real stages that go into the development of a project so that you can better interface with your architect.

More complex projects may have even more stages of development, but a custom home typically has 6 main stages: 1) Spatial analysis and concept development, 2) Architectural Design, 3) Construction Drawings, 4) Interior Architecture, 5) Budgeting, and 6) Construction.

In part 1 of this series, we will explain the first 3 stages so that you can better understand the process and also manage your expectations about the work being done.
